1.1. In these terms, "we" or “us” or “our” refers to DJC Digital, and "the Client" or "you" or “your” refers to the individual or entity engaging the service.
1.2. By placing an order (whether via an order form, online checkout, or in-person drop-off), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.2. Services and Media Processing
2.1. We agree to digitise your supplied analogue media (VHS, VHS-C, etc.) into the agreed-upon digital format.
2.2. While we handle all media with the utmost care, analogue tape degrades over time. We cannot be held liable for any inherent deterioration, breakage, or tape snapping that occurs during the conversion process.
2.3. If a tape is blank or unplayable, we reserve the right to charge a nominal handling fee.3. Copyright and Intellectual Property
3.1. You warrant that you own the copyright or have obtained the necessary legal permissions for all material contained on the submitted tapes.
3.2. We will not knowingly convert copyrighted material (e.g., commercial films, TV broadcasts) without proof of permission.
3.3. You agree to indemnify us against any claims, costs, or damages arising from copyright infringement or the unauthorised duplication of media.4. Pricing and Payment
4.1. Pricing is based on our current pricing structure, which is available on our website or upon request.
4.2. Full payment, including return postage or courier costs, is due before commencement of works. Payment methods include cash, PayPal and Stripe.5. Limitation of Liability
5.1. Our liability for any lost, damaged, or destroyed original media is strictly limited to the replacement cost of an equivalent blank tape.
5.2. We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or incompatibility issues that may occur after you transfer the digital files to your own devices.6. Turnaround Times and Delivery
6.1. Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidelines and are not guaranteed.
6.2. Completed digital files and original tapes will be returned to you via tracked courier or available for in-person collection. You are responsible for ensuring the return address is accurate.7. Data Protection and Client Privacy
7.1. DJC Digital will only use your personal data to fulfil the order and for necessary accounting purposes.
7.2. DJC Digital will never share, sell, or distribute the contents of your tapes to third parties, ensuring maximum privacy for family and personal footage.
